Jon Taylor and his team were asked to design, supply, and fit a new veranda for the owners
of this raised house. The aim was to create a space that would allow them to enjoy their
garden at the same level as their ground floor. Given the ever-present threat of flooding, the
veranda needed to be built on stilts, raised to match the floor level of the house accurately.
Jon and his team designed and constructed the veranda with a shingled roof and an expertly
crafted external staircase, ensuring that each oak leg was placed on white concrete piers for
added stability.
